Description of the Process

The Jiapu digitization process begins with a high-resolution scan or photo of pages from your family's Jiapu book. Our AI then performs Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to convert the text into digital format.

It identifies generational markers, names, dates, places and family relationships. Finally, you can edit the data for accuracy and prepare it for easy import into FamilySearch.
